What time does it start

Registration starts at 10:15 but the first session does not start until 10:45. During this time, you are more than welcome to visit the trade stands, or sit, relax and enjoy a cup of tea before the day really starts

Question 2

I have questions about getting to the Royal Conservatoire of Birmingham. Where should I look?

Question 3

I've never done a playday before and I am not sure I am good enough

Accepted Answer

It can be daunting to come to a play day if you have never attended before but it's quite alright. Everyone is friendly and we have agreat team.

We do recommend being at least grade 5 standard and having some ensemble playing experience to get the most out of the day.

Question 4

I have so many instruments to bring but can't decide. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Bring the instrument you feel most excited to play during the day.

Have a look at the agenda and see what you would like to bring. You can always bring multiple and swap around during the day.

Question 5

Can I only play clarinet or sax? I want to play both

Accepted Answer

That's fantastic! Bring both! We would love to have you play clarinet in one session and saxophone in another!

Question 6

I want to play both in the saxophone choir and clarinet choir but its at the same time

Accepted Answer

Yes, sadly they are at the same time and unfortunately, you cannot do both. Due to logistics, we were not able to hold them at separate times. We are sure you will enjoy which ever session you pick.
