Casting Director Workshops (Autumn Term)

The following workshops are confirmed:

30th September – September – Caitlin Joseph. Caitlin is a UK based Casting Director with over 15 years of experience working across Television and Film. Starting out in commercials and seeking talent on open feature film calls, Caitlin then worked as Associate to Suzanne M. Smith for 7 years, before setting up Caitlin Joseph Casting in 2024. Caitlin has worked on many notable television productions including Netflix’s hugely successful series Warrior Nun and Shadow and Bone, Amazon’s Carnival Row and Good Omens and the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series Silo. Feature film credits include To Olivia (Sky), The Invitation (Screen Gems), and the upcoming The Haunting in Wicker Park (Screen Gems).

7th October – Hannah Miller. Hannah was the RSC’s Head of Casting from 2008-2022. Previously she worked as the Casting Assistant at the National Theatre (1998-2002), Deputy Head of Casting at the RSC (2003-2005) and Casting Director for Birmingham Rep (2005-2008). She now works as a freelance Casting Director most recently working for the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester on productions of Great Expectations and Brief Encounter, and My Neighbour Totoro for the RSC. Later this year she will be working with Wales Millenium Centre on a stage adaptation of Pontypool.

14th October – Fran Cattaneo. Fran is South London-based freelance Casting Director who has previously worked in the offices of Dan Hubbard, Stuart Burt, and Heather Basten. She is currently a casting assistant at Rory Okey Casting. Her credits for screen include Dreaming Whilst Black (A24 x BBC), Young Sherlock (Amazon), Playground (BFI Network), Lacuna (NFTS x Prime Video) and theatre credits include Red Pitch (Bush Theatre), The Ministry of Lesbian Affairs (Kiln Theatre), and Twine (The Yard).

21st October – Paushali Banik. Paushali has been working in casting since 2013. Her first experience in casting was for an independent film company in India during her gap year. Since then, she has worked as a Casting Assistant alongside some great UK Casting Directors at Theo Park Casting, Rob Kelly Casting, Heather Basten Casting and many more. For the last 2 years she has been working at The Casting Office run by the wonderful Andy Brierley and Victor Jenkins. Her credits include projects for Netflix, BBC, ITV, Amazon Prime, C4, Hulu & HBO

Actors from Collective have worked in Hollywood films, on Broadway, for the National Theatre, in the West End and in series for Netflix, HBO, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

We are passionate about working with actors from underrepresented groups and we will always seek to break down barriers to access in professional actor-training. Scholarships are available for those who are facing challenging circumstances.
