Explore the castle with one of our expert guides, discovering Christmas through the ages. The castle will be decorated with historically accurate decorations representing the past 400 years at the castle.

The castle gift shop and tearoom will be remaining open until the last tour with festive treats and a wide selection of perfect Christmas gifts.

Please note this is an in depth tour so is recommended for adults only. Please see our new family friendly version for those wishing to attend with young children. The tour involves several steep spiral staircases and low lighting throughout.

Pre-booking essential, NTS members free! £5 parking charge applies for non members.

The castle is also open during the day to view the decorations on a self guided tour from the 28th November -21st December (Friday to Monday).

This is an in depth tour so we recommend this for teens with an interest in history upwards. Where does the tour start?

Please head to the castle's gift shop in the courtyard where your guide will collect you.

Yes, the tearoom will be open until the last tour starts at 6.30pm.
