Castle Debates was founded in 2010 to shine a light on the many and pressing environmental challenges we face.

Over the past fifteen years we are pleased to have played our part in increasing awareness of environmental matters. We have organised more than 50 free debates and have looked at a wide and diverse range of issues. Our aim throughout has been to make a positive contribution to public awareness by improving the quality of debate. Our approach has been to invite leading experts to consider what are often highly complex and technical environmental issues from a range of different perspectives.

Our 150 Castle Debate speakers have all been eminent in their respective fields – law, science, economics and environmental policy. As we approach 2030, Castle Debates will be adjusting its focus. There will be increased emphasis on problem solving, and we will be highlighting the practical steps individuals, businesses and organisations are taking to address environmental challenges.

Castle Debates is run on good will, without sponsorship or funding. Thank you for being part of our story.
