Casual Rice Supper Club @ Tracks

This July I'll be back to host another fabulous Supper Club at Tracks.

As it is just way too hot for a Chinese Steamboat at the moment, the menu will be catered towards the warmer summer weather.

This time I will be cooking Vietnamese. So there will be loads of fresh ingredients with some fried and roast dishes.

Check out the menu below:

• Fresh Summer Rolls (DIY)
• Pork & Prawns Vietnamese Spring Rolls
• Green Papaya Salad - peanuts optional (V)
• Vietnamese Fried Chicken Wings
• Spicy Tofu
• Bun (Cold Vermicelli Rice Noodle Salad served with spicy fish sauce dressing)
• Crispy Pork Belly

If you haven't already noticed you'll be making your own summer rolls! Don't worry I'll instruct you on how to make the rolls. The filling will consist of vermicelli rice noodles, various herbs, cucumber, lettuce and a choice of either pork belly, prawns or tofu.

As usual the meal will be served family style so all dishes except for the summer rolls and bun will be served in the middle of the table for all diners to share - it will also allow you to chat to other diners.

Drinks are not included in the cost of this event and this is not a BYO event. Tracks has a great selection of wines, beers, cocktails & soft drinks so you can purchase your drinks from their bar.

- This is a communal supper, so you will be sharing dishes with other guests -

I will also be offering a vegan option so please make sure to pick this when you book your ticket if you want to go meat free. Just a note that this supper club is not suitable if you are gluten intolerant or allergic to sesame oil - also the non-vegan menu includes pork, chicken and seafood.

I think the other thing that really impressed me was how easy you made it - via the written instructions, ingredient guidance, and friendly encouragement from your staff - to get a really delicious dish together. I'm sure I'm not the only attendee who has been to one of those restaurants  in which the concept is for the customer to assemble the ingredients, and select sauces and seasonings to their taste, and then cook/barbecue it for themselves on a grill in front of everyone. The culinary result in such cases, in my experience, has almost always been inedible, and the experience generally unfulfilling and unedifying. That was most definitely not the case with your supper club. You helped make it easy for us to construct something delicious--100% of the time."
