We understand that life can be unpredictable, so this role is designed to offer you the freedom to work when it suits you. There’s no guaranteed minimum number of hours, and no obligation on either side to offer or accept shifts.

Opportunities Together Casual Support Worker – Role Overview

As an Opportunities Together Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping adults with learning disabilities live independently and meaningfully in their own homes. You’ll provide day-to-day physical, emotional, and practical support, including personal care and medication administration, while promoting their rights and dignity.

You’ll work across various properties in the borough, sometimes independently, and may be asked to change locations at short notice. Experience supporting people with disabilities, whether paid, voluntary, or personal is essential.

This is a dynamic time for the service, with a focus on strength-based approaches and the use of technology. You’ll be encouraged to work creatively with tenants to develop life opportunities and support plans, and to build partnerships within the community.

REACH Casual Home Support Worker – Role Overview

As a REACH Home Support Worker, you’ll support Stockport residents in their homes to regain independence, rebuild confidence, and maintain essential life skills. This role is centred around person-focused care, helping individuals avoid or reduce the need for long-term social care.

You’ll assist with personal care, medication, and daily record-keeping, ensuring people feel safe, respected, and empowered. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, with full training provided to help you succeed.

No prior care experience is needed, just a genuine desire to help others. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are required for this role, please bring proof of your driving licence with you.
