An evening of music and film.

Cat Eliza T - EP Launch

'I Should Wait Around' music video debut from Cat Eliza T and Ben Grace Films.

Short film 'Antelope' by Ben Grace

To celebrate the official release of her EP Cat worked with the wonderful BEN GRACE FILMS creating a music video for the title track. The video features music, puppetry, gothic libraries and Romany Gypsy churches. Imagine it: all the madness from Cat's brain-tank skilfully filmed and edited by Ben brought to the screen.

More Info:

CAT ELIZA T has many strings to her bow, literally. A self-professed lover of 'string things' she entertains audiences with her ever-growing menagerie of instruments. Her effervescent stage presence has enchanted audiences across the UK and internationally.

Have a listen to Cat here:

In the Summers of 2015 and 2016 Cat toured Sofia, the Bulgarian capital, representing Beefeater Gin. She featured on multiple radio stations and live national television. For these trips she created an EP, 'Sofia', printing only 100 CDs which were never released online.  Cat has decided now is the time to unleash these three tracks unto the world rebranded as I SHOULD WAIT AROUND.

ANTELOPE is a short film based on Ben Grace's experience of being sectioned at Antelope House after a suicide attempt in 2012, and his struggles to re-establish relationships with his family after being released. The film has been screened at numerous film festivals across Europe, including as part of Ideas For Wellbeing, an evening of short films and discussion of mental health, an event co-produced by Healthwatch Southampton and Touch Network as part of Southampton Film Week.

Support TBC

There will be donation buckets for Solent Mind, a registered charity providing a wide range of high-quality services to support people with mental health problems across the Southern Region.

Our Director Paul Bickmore (better known as Bik) spends a lot of his time tracking down a varied, interesting range of performances for us to host here at The Art House.

A seasoned musician himself (as well as being the man who does the sound engineering on the night - something he does extremely well), Bik hand-selects the very best acts to showcase in our gallery space - his criteria?

Travel information:-

We are a city centre venue and parking can be in short supply.  If you are driving, please make sure you leave plenty of time to find a space click here for a map of where the nearest parking spaces can be found.

We recommend Kings Park Road car park:
We are about 10 minutes walk from Southampton City Centre train station (head up the hill toward the Guildhall clock tower) and on the route for most city centre buses (the Unilink U1 stops virtually outside.)
