Description

Join us for an inspiring day of worship, encounter with God, stories from around the sphere, prayer and teaching.

The next Catalyst leaders day is taking place on Thursday 24th January 2019. This is a key time together as we head into the new year, looking to the future, praying together for breakthroughs in key areas and seeking God for His direction in all things.

The theme for the day is ‘Thriving in a Post-Christian Culture’. We have a great line up of speakers, each of whom will deliver a TED-style talk, followed by an opportunity for us to apply what we have heard to our own circumstances.

Rachel Gardner - Rachel is a Christian leader, speaker and author. Her books include ‘Beloved’, ‘The Girl-Deconstruction Project’ and ‘The Dating Dilemma’. She is a founding director of the Romance Academy, the Relationship Lead at Youthscape, and is used widely to represent and shape Christian thought in the UK, especially among the post-millennial generation and those who desire to reach them. See a recent interview with Rachel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsFtf2ArHO0.

Steve Whitla - Steve is the owner and founder of Visual Meaning, a specialist consultancy that uses visual language to help people understand anything that’s big, complex, ambiguous or difficult. Steve delivered a TEDx talk on 15/2/17 which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAFclNJ--Gs.

Andy McCullough - Andy is a church planter, writer, speaker and teaching pastor at Reading Family Church. Born in Cyprus, he identifies very much with the Middle East where he has successfully started a number of churches. Andy is multicultural and multilingual; he is currently finalizing his Masters Degree in Contextual Theology. He is the author of ‘Global Humility’, a book making the plea for bible-centric, rather than Euro-centric, theology and practice.

Jim Harper - Jim leads the Encounter Congregation of Hope Church, Worcester, which is a part of the Catalyst Network. His initiative works particularly with people who have life-controlling issues. Jim is committed to helping churches understand how they too can become more integrated in their communities, serving the more vulnerable groups who might find existing style of church gatherings intimidating, inaccessible or just plain dull!
