Event description

Description

Please note, this is an event is for the public and not an education event for healthcare professionals.

By far the most common cause of cataracts is ageing of the cells within the lens of the eye. One in three people over 65 have cataracts or have had cataracts removed by surgery, but sometimes people can get them in their forties or fifties.

Lifestyle factors, such as smoking and alcohol, can contribute, as well as a family history of cataracts.

Our Consultant Mr Venki Sundaram will be presenting on Cataracts and treatments available. There will be time available to ask any questions you may have. Please see below the format of the evening.

6.30pm – Arrival

Please make your way to our Main Reception and you will be directed to our Restaurant area
Tea, coffee and water will be available

7.00pm – Mr Sundaram’s presentation will start, followed by some time for questions

8.00pm – (approx.) Finish

Please register your interest here, leaving your name and telephone number and our Self-pay Executive Zoe O'Connor will contact you to confirm your booking.

Alternatively, please call the team on 01582 714 420 and ask for Zoe O'Connor to register your interest.
