About this event

Wednesday 15th October 2025 12:00-13:30 BST - PPIE Webinar

This is the third in a series of ARC National events on Patient and Public Involvement research which aims to foster conversations and methodological development of patient and public involvement, inclusive involvement and co-production.

William and his coauthors recently published a narrative review of reviews on the impacts of PPIE. This webinar will focus on the types and examples of impacts reported in these reviews, specifically the "categories" and "sub-categories" of impact that they describe.

William will discuss a unique 4-piece typology of describing impacts of PPIE as they are reported in the current literature with examples. He will talk about the shortcomings of these descriptions of impact and the practical implications of these findings for PPIE professionals, researchers, and public collaborators. One of the PPIE collaborators who has worked with him throughout the project will attend and share in presenting on the concept of "impacts of PPIE."
