Description

Cathcart SNP: Activist Training Day

Cathcart SNP is full of talent and we need to make the most of it. If you want to get more involved in the local and national party then this training day is an absolute must for you. The training sessions below are designed to tell you everything you need to know about campaigning, the party and how you can help secure good results for the SNP and deliver independence for Scotland.

  • The Science of Campaigning: Always wanted to know how to get the data, use the data and deliver an SNP victory on election night? Join National Organiser and former MSP, Fiona McLeod, to learn about the science of organising a winning campaign.
  • Activism: Cathcart SNP member, and former candidate, Paul McCabe talks about the journey from activists to candidate. He talks through the basics and shares some of his experience that he's picked up on the doorsteps.
  • Building to Win and Hold: East Kilbride MSP, Linda Fabiani, tells us about how she built up a strong team in East Kilbride that worked over time to win the constituency and then go on to hold it. She shares her tips and experiences that will prove invaluable to anyone wanting to turn their constituency into an SNP stronghold.
  • Party structures and policy making: Former National Secretary and NEC member, Dr Duncan Ross has a forensic knowledge of the Scottish National Party. Ever wondered what the NEC does? SOAC? National Council? He'll tell you all about them and how you can get ideas to the heart of the party.
  • Guest Speaker: TBC

Please note that this is restricted to party members only. You will be asked to show your party membership card on arrival.
