Friendly and free football sessions at Toryglen Regional Football Centre (indoor pitch) for women and non-binary people run by Cathkin Blazes Community Football Club.
These sessions have been created as a safe space for survivors of sexual violence, but they're just a chance to try a game of footy - or improve your skills - everyone is welcome! There are no skill or fitness requirements.
Online information session: Thursday 16th October 6-6.30pm
We'll be hosting an online info session where you can meet the team, find out more about Cathkin Blazes and ask us questions.
Football Sessions: Sunday 19th, 26th October and 2nd, 9th November 6-8pm
The sessions will be coached by Nuala Neary and they're beginner-friendly. You can come to any/all of the sessions you want to. Please sign up on Eventbrite for all the sessions you'd like to come to. These session are not exclusive to survivors - feel free to bring along a friend or family member if you want to.
During the session there will be plenty of water breaks for everyone to have a rest and to socialise with others in the group. If at any point during the session, someone needs a break that is absolutely fine. All the sessions link into each other but no one misses out if they can’t attend the other sessions. We'll have a support worker at all our sessions.
