Mon 5 June 2017, 09:00 – 17:00 BST
Duration: 2 days; including 3 months’ commercial licence and support @ £1000 + VAT per person
This Transition to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE On Cloud course addresses the needs of experienced CATIA V5 Mechanical Designers. This fundamental course will teach you the new interface and functionalities of the CATIA On Cloud 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. You will learn how to connect to the platform, manage your projects, search documents and share content along with knowledge or skills with other users. You will learn how to design a new part with the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, insert the part in a product then position and constrain it.
Further you will learn how to assign material properties and compute weight, then complete a simple drawing. Finally, you will learn how to create a new part version, replace the original part and update the product.
More advanced topics will also be covered: they will teach you how to manage complex product structures, create product features, manage catalogues and analyse assemblies.
The course fee includes a 3 months’ full commercial licence to use CATIA on Cloud together with support (10 hours) during this period

Can I use CADCheck Hours ?
Yes. Customer with hours in hand will be debited from your current balance. Use the Get Ticket button and select the CADCheck type.
Do I need to bring my computer?
We provide all the hardware and software which you use during the training. However, as you will have your own On Cloud instance on completion of the course, we will be happy to assist in connecting your own hardware to the Cloud.
What are the hardware/software and network recommendations?
Hardware and software prerequisites are not different from normal CAD application. As with any graphics application, the better graphics card delivers better speed. Network recommendation depends on each customer’s usage and particularly on the number of users accessing the On-Cloud 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Consult with our team at Desktop Engineering if you need more details.
If we have multiple delegates at the training evaluation and wish to work as a team, how do we ensure we can share information?
We create one Cloud Instance for your company and your team all log into that instance. Hence all data is shared subject to your nominated administrator giving you access rights. We will support you in these arrangements.
Following the training what happens if I run into problems using the software?
As part of the evaluation program we will support you via telephone or web for up to 10 hours during the 3-month evaluation. We find most customers find this adequate.
If I need specific help on some advanced elements of the software what do I do?
If you find that your team are exploring deeper into the capabilities of CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE and see the need for some personal help on site, on specific features, we can provide that service which would involve some further charge. We would advise that at the time.
What do I do at the end of the evaluation period?
You can choose to continue, at which point we would advise on the best configuration of commercial licence you would need. Your Cloud instance would be preserved and any data retained for further work. If you choose to terminate then data should be exported before the licence expires.
In lunch provided?
Yes. There is a lunch break at the middle of the day during which we will take you to a local pub for a light lunch. We can accommodate varying dietary requirements.
Are manuals provided?
We have a green policy of providing all training collaterals on USB memory keys
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
If travelling by car, we have a couple of parking bays in front of the building.
If travelling by train, the nearest train station is Long Hanborough - a 10 minute walk from the training venue.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
