Come and hear how Nether Largie Farm manages grazing livestock for biodiversity. Have a walk over parts of the Moine Mhor SSSI and SAC Designated site to hear what is special about these sites and the way in which cattle grazing supports this special habitat. Cattle are managed here for production and biodiversity using the Agri Environment and Climate Scheme (AECS) to support biodiversity management. The AECS window for 2027 to 2031 will be opening soon for applications and this event is an opportunity to learn

  • Why are Cattle important for biodiversity
  • What management options AECS can support
  • How does the designated site affect the farm business.

Speakers: Helen Bibby, Senior Conservation Consultant and Cara Campbell, Senior Agricultural Consultant.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for being outside on wet ground.

Light lunch will be provided on arrival so booking is essential for catering purposes.
