About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Caturday is a free public event, bringing together cat owners, cat lovers and cats in the Brentwood area of Burnaby (and beyond) to get to know your neighbours, and to share tips for feline health and wellness.

Cats are more than welcome to attend, provided that they meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • socialized for outdoor walk/play
  • kept on a harness / inside a cat stroller at all times
  • comfortable interacting with other cats and humans
  • spayed / neutered
  • have up-to-date-vaccinations.

Humans whose cats would not enjoy Caturday are welcome to attend solo without their feline friend.

Caturday Tasting Bar by GPF Burnaby

Join us at the event to sample some cat snacks. Human attendees will also get a coupon for one of GFP's famous swag bags - just for your cat - redeemable at either the Hastings or Highgate location.

Caturday - Springer Park is funded by a grant from Neighbourhood Small Grants.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my cat on a leash or in a stroller?

Cats must be on a harness - not a leash - or inside a stroller, for their safety.

Do I have to bring a cat to attend?

No, if your cat would not be comfortable at Caturday, you are welcome to attend by yourself.

Can I bring my children?

Kids are welcome provided that they are supervised by an adult at all times, and that they have been taught how to pet with an open hand and how to read cat signals and body language.
