🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of Cavernoma Alliance UK
In 2005, Dr Ian Stuart founded Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) after a life-changing cavernoma bleed. Struggling to find information and support, Ian was determined that no one else should face cavernoma alone. What began as a volunteer-led helpline from Ian’s home in Dorchester has grown into a national charity supporting over 4,000 members, with a small remote team, more than 50 volunteers, and a proud commitment to community, information and research.
Now, 20 years on, we’re inviting our community – past and present – to come together, reconnect, and celebrate everything we’ve achieved.
🗓️ Saturday 11th October 2025 | 11:00–13:30
📍 The Art Workers' Guild, London
(Accessible venue with ramp access and accessible toilet)
Our celebration will begin with words from our own founder, Dr Ian Stuart, followed by a keynote speech from Connie Lee, Founder and CEO of Alliance to Cure (our sister organisation in the US).
After the speeches, we’ll enjoy a relaxed lunch together – including a selection of cakes kindly sponsored by Recursion Pharmaceuticals.
🎉 With thanks to Recursion for kindly supporting this special event.
Cavernoma can feel isolating, but CAUK has always been about building connection and community. We’d love for you to join us in marking this important milestone.
