Cause and effect: how can climate change and its health impacts be addressed together?

We are delighted to inform you that we have now confirmed a new date for our joint conference with the Wellcome Trust, which will now take place on Monday 7 October.

This event will bring together experts from across the climate and health sectors, senior business and media representatives, as well as political stakeholders, to make the case for better collaboration between the sectors and improved cross departmental working in government.

As two leading organisations in our sectors, we will showcase visionary policy ideas to make the UK a healthier, greener and more resilient place to live. We will present the case for climate adaptation as a means to address physical and mental health problems and aid policy makers in building stronger, more equitable climate policies.

This event will include three panel discussions focusing on:

the need for greater cross departmental and sectoral working on health and climate change;
a London spotlight, exploring what other Mayoral Authorities can learn from the London Climate Resilience Review;
the challenge of adapting to climate change and how this can support public health

This event will include a light lunch and tea break, and will end with networking, drinks, and nibbles. The panel discussions will include audience Q&As.
