Cave Diving Talk - Exploration of Pozo Azul

Come and join us on Monday 27th October at 6.30pm for an evening of cave diving – without getting wet!

Alan Purcell is a member of the Cave Diving Group (CDG) and recently took part in an expedition to Pozo Azul (The Blue Well) in Northern Spain supporting some of the world’s top cave divers as they attempt to explore the furthest reaches of a flood cave system longer than Mount Everest is high!

Alan will also cover the history and development of cave diving, his own experience of the training required and show you some of the equipment he used to travel through the hidden passages in the Spanish mountains - 1km underwater, underground.

Alan is delivering the talk as part of a fund raiser for Maggie’s, Forth Valley. Donations will be welcome.
