About this event
Our focus this year is on embracing change — a theme that reflects both the evolving landscape of business and the direction we’re taking as an organisation. Earlier this year, the team and I began a new chapter for CBP, exploring how we can grow into a more dynamic Chamber of Commerce and DMO. Change has already been a strong undercurrent for us internally, with significant shifts in our team and it’s something we know many of you are experiencing too. While the need for change is widely recognised among our members, there's often understandable hesitation around how to approach it.
Today’s sessions are designed to explore how we can navigate change collectively, with minimal disruption and maximum benefit — building resilience, fostering growth and shaping a stronger future for businesses across the Cairngorms.
Craig Mills, CBP CEO

Choose 2 of the following 4 workshops as you check out:-
1 ChatGPT for Business: Save Time, Stay Ahead Make ChatGPT work for you - writing, reporting, planning and more, whatever your sector. Learn how AI can support your business - from faster email replies and social media content to clearer reports and smarter planning. No jargon, just practical tips you can start using right away. Emma Paterson • Consulting
2 Mentally Healthy Workplaces We will explore key aspects of mental health in the workplace, including its definition, significance to business outcomes and the importance of early support. Topics will also cover stress management, supporting others, available resources, fostering resilience and the role of self-care in maintaining overall well-being. Linda Birnie, Mikeysline & Lynda Thomson, NHS Highland, Health Improvement Team
3 Customer Service Training Practical quick wins and tools to turn good service into unforgettable customer experiences. Customer expectations are rising and in today’s Experience Economy, “good service” is just the starting point. What makes businesses stand out are the impressions they leave and the loyalty they create. Customer experience is the cheapest way to stand out - and the one most underused. Make it your advantage. Nadia Fyvie-Feldmann , Dhow Consulting
4 Visitor Survey findings & Managing for Visitors Delving into visitor changes in behaviour, including evolving interests and the impacts climate change has on our visitor economy. Heather will provide insights on visitor volume and value, their motivations, interests and activities in the area. Colin will then discuss how the Cairngorms National Park Authority invests to enhance visitor enjoyment while minimising impacts; covering communications, ranger services, infrastructure investment and measures like the fire byelaw. Colin Simpson, Head of Visitor Services & Heather Trench, Sustainable Tourism Officer, Cairngorms National Park Authority
