FEATURING Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla – Conductor Ning Feng – Violin

PROGRAMME Haydn Symphony No. 7 (Le Midi), 21′

Bruch Scottish Fantasy, 28′ Bartók Concerto for Orchestra, 35′

Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra is more than a high-octane work-out for a great orchestra at the top of its game – it’s an uproarious salute to the human spirit itself. This is music with a dash of paprika: a riotous climax to a concert that begins with Haydn’s little sunburst of a symphony, and offers the chance to hear star violinist Ning Feng in Bruch’s delightful Scottish Fantasy.

Timings: Leave Leominster 9:30am., Hereford at 9:50am., Ross on Wye at 10:30am. Depart Birmingham at 4:30pm and travel back to Ross at 6:00pm, Hereford at 6:30pm and then Leominster at 7:00pm.

Costs: Including travel costs and seats in the Stalls £52.00 or Choir £41.00
