Today conductor Joana Mallwitz whirls you away on a colourful cross-European roadtrip, from the flying fiddles of Kodály’s Hungary to the Highland mists of Mendelssohn’s Scottish symphony. Plus a stop-over in Imperial Russia – where the one-and only Gabriela Montero is the soloist in Tchaikovsky’s magnificent and much-loved First Piano Concerto.

CBSO + 1pm: Conductor Joana Mallwitz in conversation with CBSO violinist Catherine Arlidge MBE.

Timings: Leave Leominster 9:30am., Hereford at 9:50am., Ross on Wye at 10:30am. Depart Birmingham at 4:30pm and travel back to Ross at 6:00pm, Hereford at 6:30pm and then Leominster at 7:00pm.
