The Inaugural Lecture of the Centre for Constitutions in Context (CCC) will be delivered by Jill Cottrell Ghai.
Jill will be discussing Context in Comparative Constitutional Law.
Jill Cottrell Ghai is a renowned and influential scholar and practitioner of constitutional law. Educated at the LSE and Yale Law School, she taught law for over 40 years at universities across the globe, including the University of Warwick. Jill also advised on the constitution-making processes of several countries, including East Timor, Nepal, Maldives, Iraq, and Somalia. Since 2008, she has played a pivotal role in promoting knowledge, and facilitating the implementation, of Kenya’s 2010 Constitution, including as co-founder and, currently, chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Katiba Institute.
The lecture will begin at 2pm BST and run until approximately 3:30pm BST. The event will take place via an MS Teams town hall.
