About this Event
CCEA's hands on and enquiry-based workshops will allow Key Stage 3 Science teachers to explore active learning strategies, supporting progression through the NI Curriculum.
Through participation you will:
• gain an insight to the practical application and significance of science learning from an economic perspective;
• explore fundamental progression in learning of concepts and skills relating to the Forces and Energy Transfer and Environment and Human Influences topics;
• delve into an enquiry-based approach to discovery science learning; and
• discover our latest resource in collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry to support the NI Curriculum.
Learning Intentions of the course:
• Knowledge of how the Key Stage 3 Science curriculum contributes to effective preparation for life and work
• Understand how to support progression in learning in Science at KS3
• Be able to use an enquiry-based approach to practical Science at KS3
• Be able to identify skills development in science learning
The day will include a tour of the Interactive Med Lab in W5.
