High Cost Cases and Care Case Fee Schemes (CCFS)

This module explores the changes to the Care Case Fee Schemes (CCFS) which came into effect on 3 June 2019. The session covers how to notify the LAA that your case is high cost, accessing and uploading the High Cost Contract and Counsel Acceptance Form, submitting a cost increase, submitting the case plan and claiming costs.

The Legal Aid Agency (LAA) has online ways of working for civil and family certificated legal aid work, involving the creation of a digital systems for providers and counsel.

This is the Client and Cost Management System (CCMS) and all civil cases are managed through this system.
