The CCS Insurance Team is keen to support our customers / suppliers in relation to the Carbon Net Zero (CNZ) targets and we will be providing an webinar overview of the legislation, information and support available hosted by Andy Smith (CCS Environment and Sustainability Lead Research).

Andy works closely with local authorities, Central Government and suppliers on Clean Air Zones, Smart Cities groups and provides expert knowledge on how sustainability and Smart go hand in hand. He is part of the Cabinet Office Green Network and is helping in the relentless charge towards Net Carbon Zero.

CCS anticipates CNZ will have a prominent impact on future opportunities and contracts, therefore it is important all customers / suppliers are aware of CNZ policies and support available.

Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/21 specifically calls for carbon reduction plans from any supplier wishing to bid for government contracts over £5 million to confirm their commitment to achieving net zero by 2050 (please see link below):
