We are holding the next Bath Club event at Mulberry Park, Combe Down. This prestigious development of 700 contemporary homes, state-of-the-art community facilities and beautiful open spaces is being led by housing association and house-builder Curo. The scheme offers the perfect blend of city and country living, within easy reach of both Bath’s dynamic city centre and the area’s stunning natural surroundings.
Mulberry Park is a 19 hectare brownfield site, 2km from Bath city centre. Curo acquired the site on the open market in March 2013. Following extensive community consultation, outline planning consent was granted unanimously in March 2015. Detailed planning permission for the first phase of 275 homes was granted in September 2015. Detailed planning permission for the £10 million community hub was granted in October 2016.
Curo’s vision is to use the development of Mulberry Park as a catalyst for positive regeneration that will lead to improvements in both the physical and social environment at Foxhill. Curo has recently submitted an outline planning application for the regeneration of the Foxhill estate. This proposes up to 700 new homes, more open space and improved vehicle, cycle and pedestrian connections.
Together both sites form the Foxhill Housing Zone, one of just 20 housing zones outside London designated by central government in 2015. The designation brings with it additional support and confirms its status as a nationally significant housing project.
We will be joined by Gerraint Oakley, Managing Director of Curo Homes and Mike Grist, Director of Regeneration.
