This session will teach you how to build your own illusionary 3D paper bird. Design multiple layers to create the illusion that the bird is fl apping its wings, decorate them, then work to stick them all together!

From southern Philippines, the “sarimanok” is a mythical bird of the Maranoa people and appears in a number of legends. The name itself means ‘clothing rooster’. Now here’s a decoration worth crowing about!

Sessions will be led by experts in fun, Sharky & George. Their team will be bringing the crafts to life with games, jokes and good times. Guaranteed to bring a smile to all.

Location: Kids Workshop Area, Upper Ground, Boiler House North, The Power Station

Price: £10pp (plus fees)

Age recommendation: 4+ years

T&Cs: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Sessions may last slightly less time, depending on how quickly each child makes their item – anyone finishing early can fill any remaining time with our free colouring in sheets.
