Celebrate Indigenous, Tribal and Adivasi Culture of India

Adivasi Arts Trust

The art, culture and knowledge of Adivasi and tribal communities in India resounds with stories of belonging and intimate relationships to place; it is a revival of deeply integrated

connections to a more-than-human family. Today, this heritage is not only remembered, it is reanimated - and in our imaginations, the storytelling begins in the traditional bamboo

houses close to the international border.

The event tells a living story of change, adaptation, and resilience, it is a coming together across cultures and geographies, a shared space to honour ancestral knowledge—time-tested and profound—through vibrant new forms, voices, and expressions. This evening of storytelling, literature and multimedia presentations that stretch from across the tribal heartlands of Central India into the traditional Wancho homes of village communities from Arunachal Pradesh residing at the periphery, is organised by Adivasi Arts Trust, which is based in London.
