Reverend Brenda Ann Brown is a 21st woman of substance in the 21st century church. She has contributed much to spiritual and secular leadership and is a respected figure amongst her peers.
Rev Brenda came to faith as a teenager and is currently fulfilling the Lord’s plan for her life. Having been a member Of Massachusetts Avenue Baptist Church for over 29 years, she served as Missionary, Women’s Fellowship Minister, Trustee, Deacon, Adult Choir, and filled in wherever needed.
In February 2015 Rev Brenda was awarded the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People, Community Service Award, for her work in the City of Cambridge. The NAACP is a civil rights organization founded in 1909 to fight prejudice, lynching, and Jim Crow segregation, and to work for the betterment of "people of colour”.
Rev Brenda was installed as the Minister of the Massachusetts Avenue Baptist Church (127 yrs.’ Black Historical Church City of Cambridge) on April 26th 2015. She serves as the Executive Director of Project Manna (soup kitchen and food pantry) she is an active member of The Black Pastors Alliance Cambridge.
