We are celebrating the experiences and memories made, at Paxton Pits Environmental Education Centre, since its arrival 15 years ago. We are offering family activities in the education centre grounds. In addition we would really like to welcome our former and now much older visitors to return, and so there is also special memento making* for these visitors too!
*Please bring £2.50 to make a beautiful, memento keyring, inspired by the trees in the education centre grounds!
Activities will include pond dipping and bucket pond making. Please do bring some change as there will be a number of items to purchase, including cake!
Whilst there is no charge for this event, donations towards the work of the centre are much appreciated. This event has been made possible thanks to the ongoing support of our valued Wildlife Trust BCN members.
All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout their time here. Sorry no dogs are allowed in the Environmental Education Area, where the family activities will be running (except assistance dogs).
Lots to do outdoors too, so wear long trousers and sensible shoes with closed toes and do bring raincoats.
Please also be aware the now mature hazel hedges have produced lots of hazelnuts this year and the squirrels have raided these and distributed the broken nuts and shells around!
