Celebrating 900 Years of Edinburgh- 'A Red, Red, Rose' Craft Workshop
Date: 6th August 2025
Time: 13:00- 15:30
Location: The Edinburgh Remakery
Come join us at The Edinburgh Remakery for a special craft workshop celebrating 900 years of Edinburgh! Dive into the rich history of this beautiful city while creating your very own Red, Red, Rose inspired by the poetry of Robert Burns. The session will begin with a story written by a local writer, drawing on the themes of Burns' iconic poem.
You’ll then be guided by a local artist through the process of making a beautiful pop-up rose card using recycled paper. You'll learn how to trace a pattern, cut, fold, and assemble intricate paper roses into a pop-up card – adding an interactive twist to this unique keepsake.
Each participant will make one pop-up card to take home and one for inclusion in the final Edinburgh 900 / Edinburgh Remakery Pop-up Book, which will be displayed at various venues across the city.
Don’t miss this creative opportunity to connect with Edinburgh’s past through art, craft, and storytelling!
