An evening to honour the compassionate response of our churches to poverty and inequality in London
Through the parishes of the Diocese of London each year over 200 distinctive ministries run supporting over 14,000 individuals; tackling issues such as Food Poverty and Homelessness, outreaching to trafficked people to addressing isolation, ministering into health inequality to setting people free from financial debt….and the list goes on. Which is why we want to CELEBRATE, to say THANK YOU and to provide a space where collectively we can meet others in similar roles, to spur each other on and to see how iron can sharpen iron.
The invitation is to you and all in your parish who are involved in tackling poverty and inequality, so please do spread the word and join in the celebration on 17th November.
On the evening we are wanting to profile and celebrate the work delivered by our parishes. The way we will do this is through having designated areas in the venue around the following themes and in each theme area there will be 3 parishes showcasing what they do to address that theme. If your parish is involved in one or more of these themes and you would like to host a stall which will encourage others and showcase the impact you’re making, then please email us: email@example.com or call me on 07802 692 214.
