Celebrating Black History Month in School
EqualiTeach is pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar, designed to equip educators with practical strategies to celebrate Black History Month in schools—beyond posters and assemblies—by integrating Black history, culture, and contributions into the curriculum in October and all-year round.
The Webinar will:
- Explore common errors that schools make when looking to celebrate Black History Month, and steps that can be taken to overcome these
- Provide practical tools, resources and strategies to make Black History Month celebrations meaningful and impactful
- Equip educators to challenge stereotypes by promoting diverse narratives and critical thinking
- Support participants to empower pupil voice by encouraging student-led initiatives
- Encourage year-round engagement by integating Black History into the wider curriculum.
Content will be designed around your questions and concerns, which you can submit in advance once registered.
The main webinar will be 45 minutes long, with a chance for further questions afterward.
