Celebrating Care Experienced Learners and Their Corporate Parents
Date and time
Location
Edinburgh College (Sighthill Campus)
Bankhead Avenue Edinburgh EH11 4DE United KingdomDescription
This November, Who Cares? Scotland will be coordinating a special event which brings together Care Experienced learners and their Corporate Parents to showcase the progress made on behalf of Care Experienced learners in the further and higher education sector over the past two years.
This is also a great opportunity to celebrate the beginning of the next two years of work between Who Cares? Scotland the Scottish Funding Council.
The event will include hearing directly from representatives in the FE/HE sector, and of course from Care Experienced learners themselves.
A full agenda will be made available ahead of the day, but you can expect:
- thought provoking and engaging activities which dynamically contextualise learners experiences
- a number of thematic workshops, designed and co-delivered by Care Experienced students
- a plenary Q & A session with a panel of Care Experienced learners at various stages in their educational journeys who are willing to take questions from attendees (questions submitted in advance)
- a powerful presentation from an important keynote speaker
Please note the maximum number of attendees per institution is three. Each attendee must register their attendance separately.
This event is in high demand, so we ask that if you register and then are no longer able to attend, please let us know at the earliest opportunity by emailing corporateparenting@whocaresscotland.org.
This event is designed primarily for staff within these institutions, however, if you would like to invite a Care Experienced student to represent your institution, please ensure that they too formally register their attendance via this Eventbrite.
If you have any questions or require more information, please email corporateparenting@whocaresscotland.org or phone the National Office on 0141 226 4441 and ask to speak to a member of the Corporate Parenting Team.
