Event description
Join us for drinks and canapes, and meet the artist, before the first public showing of this exciting new work.

About this Event

Thanks to the Wellcome Trust, we have been developing plans for innovative new research that will bring together archaeology, anthropology, and history to support contemporary family carers. Inspired by this research, and with the support of a University of Exeter Arts & Culture Fellowship, local graphic artist Leo Jamelli has been commissioned to produce a new work. This large-scale light projection captures the strength and vulnerability of family carers, and is guaranteed to start powerful conversations about care in Exeter.

To celebrate the first public showing of this work, please join us for drinks and canapes at Lloyd’s Kitchen at 6.30pm on Friday 20th September. The artwork will then be projected onto the historic St Catherine’s Almshouse at 7.30pm.

Please note that although the unveiling is a public event, this drinks reception is invitation-only.
