About this event

Community • Heritage

Join us for a vibrant celebration of Caribbean food, culture, and heritage at Cambridge Collective, Sheffield. Enjoy hands-on cooking workshops led by expert chefs, explore a powerful art exhibition by Jacqui Cooke, and immerse yourself in the rhythms of Soca, Zouk, and Reggae. Over the course of one day, we’ll host three workshops focusing on the Caribbean food traditions brought to the UK after WWII, shaped by post-war rationing and a longing for home.

We’ll also celebrate the vibrant cuisines of Carnival from Trinidad, Barbados, St. Vincent, and St. Kitts, and end with a session dedicated to the beloved Christmas foods that have been passed down through generations. A cultural feast of history, food, and music!

Cooke's artwork will be on display outside the Blend Kitchen at Cambridge Street Collective. Pop by and see if without booking. For the cooking workshops booking is essential. Spaces are limited!

This event brings together diverse communities to share stories, learn new skills, and connect through the rich traditions of Caribbean cuisine, art and music, fostering inclusion, belonging, and cultural exchange.
