"No profit grows where is no pleasure ta'en" - The Taming of the Shrew (Act 1 Scene 1)
As the Start-Up Series settles into its third year, we're gathering winners, partners & investors once again to celebrate the innovation that has been funded by the investors in the Start-up Series Fund.
We'll be on the top floor of The Swan, part of the iconic Shakespeare’s Globe from 18:00 . Mostly ta'en pleasure : drinks, canapes, stunning views of the Thames and St Paul’s and good conversation.
But we'll also have some talk of growing profit as investors and advisers will have the chance to meet a number of our Start-Up Series winners, some of who will be demonstrating their products.
For extra, and optional, creative inspiration, we'll be taken on a guided tour around the theatre (at 17:15), bringing the space to life with colourful stories of the 1599 Globe, of the reconstruction process in the 1990s, and of how the ‘wooden O’ works today as an imaginative and experimental theatrical space.
