Conference, 10am-12:30pm, Speakers:
* Dame Philippa Russell: A national perspective on carers and the care of older people.
* David Truswell, Consultant: A national perspective on older people with dementia.
* Harry Rappaport, Composer: His life in volunteering and the role which music has played.
* Andrew Hubbard, ‘The People’s Violinist’: Balancing caring with a career; Andrew performs in London’s West End as a classical cross-over artist and provides care for a family member.
Concert, 2pm-3pm, ‘When Music Had Melody’:
The Happy Wanderers perform famous songs by 20th Century composers. Featuring the carers’ song ‘When You Need Me’, by Harry Rappaport & special guest performer, Andrew Hubbard - ‘The People’s Violinist’!
