Celebrating Journeys Festival International Manchester 2021
Date and time
Journeys Festival International Manchester Celebration Evening
About this event
Please join us as we celebrate the launch of Journeys Festival International Manchester in partnership with Holy Name Church.
For the first time in its history, Journeys Festival International will run across three cities in the UK for the same ten days. You are invited to join us on 15 October at 6.30pm to celebrate the festival, the communities we work with, the artists and the partners, who all combine their creativity to bring this unique event to Manchester. The evening will feature a community viewing of Where There is Light by Squidsoup and refreshments will be served.
We are delighted to be joined by RAS Voices and Asylum Matters who will talk about how you can take action to help scrap the #AntiRefugeeBill ahead of a week of action to oppose the bill which runs alongside the festival during the week of 18-24 October. It has never been more important to unite and defend the right to claim asylum in the UK. That’s why we would like to bring together the creative community together with the refugee charity sector to show solidarity against this Bill just as it reaches its next crucial stage in parliament.
