*Mind, in partnership with Bipolar UK and Depression Alliance, have secured funding from The Big Lottery for a two-year Peer Support Programme, which will gather evidence about the effectiveness of peer support and support its future sustainability.
Leeds Mind, acting as the local Hub for peer support, has received funding within this programme to develop a Peer Support Network within Leeds - an exciting new network for Leeds-based organisations who are undertaking peer support activities, or who wish to become involved in doing so.
So far the Network has hosted 2 peer support networking eventa, and several smaller 'Experts by Experience' workshops creating discussion around local peer support, and creating opportunities for local projects to support each other by sharing learning and resources. Topics explored so far include delivering peer support in BME communities, exploring online peer support, and 'What is Peer Support? - Principles and Values'."
