Celebrating the Value of Nurses in East Sussex
Conference to Celebrate the Value of Nurses in East Sussex - open to nurses (including HCAs) in East Sussex
Our nurses in East Sussex do an amazing job – supporting local people through illness and injury whether at home, in hospital or another healthcare setting - and we want to celebrate the care, compassion and professionalism they show every single day.
Our event will recognise the dedication of our East Sussex nurses and also help to launch the new National Framework for Nursing. The event is open to any member of nursing staff from any background . Attendance at the event will be part of your CPD/revalidation process but there are many more reasons to be there including:
Fantastic speakers such as; Dr. Anne Corrin, Head of Education, Learning & Development RCN, Miles Hilton-Barber – a British adventurer who, despite being blind, undertakes a variety of expeditions all around the world to raise awareness and money for a charity organisation, and blind people in general – his motivational speaking has been an inspiration to many, Ed Marsden of Verita consultancy and Lynne Phair, an Independent Consultant Nurse and Expert Witness.
The launch of our East Sussex Better Together (ESBT) Nursing Awards - details of how to nominate to follow
An excellent free lunch
The opportunity to win a prize at the end, for which the winner will be chosen from completed evaluation forms.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be a fantastic day
If you have any dietary requirements, including allergies, or accessibility requirements, then please let us know no later than 2 weeks prior to the event.
N.B. Please only reserve a ticket if you are intending to attend the event and if you are booking on behalf of someone else, please put their details on the ticket, not your own, so we know exactly who will be attending. If you are planning to attend then you must book a ticket. We need to know exact numbers for catering and health and safety purposes. You will not be allowed in if you have not booked.
Please note that registration closes at 5pm on Wednesday, 05 October 2016.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
If you are travelling by car, there is some parking directly outside the Kings Centre but this fills up fairly quickly. There will be members of the Kings staff there on the day to direct you to free spaces. We are hoping that it will also be possible to use the nearby Morrisons car park but this will only be confirmed a week before due to the arrangement in place between themselves and Kings.
Alternatively, Hampden Park Train Station is less than 10 minutes walk from the centre.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, please bring your ticket along with you on the day and hand it in at the registration desk.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
If you reserve a ticket and then wish to give your ticket to someone else then please contact us with the details of the new attendee and we can make a note for the registration list on the day.
If you have any further questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
