Description

A talk from Prof Melvyn Jones - South Yorkshire's Woodland Heritage with a Special Reference to Greno Woods.

Join us for what will be a fascinating talk about how Sheffield's woodland heritage has driven its industrial past, and how this has shaped the woodlands we enjoy today, with a focus on Greno woods.

Rich in wildlife and full of historic interest - Greno woods is the perfect place to appreciate why ancient woodlands are so important.

Melvyn Jones is a local expert on woodlands. He was appointed Visiting Professor in environmental history at Sheffield Hallam University in 1999, he is a radio personality and is the author of over 60 books.
