A three-day festival starting at Rich Mix on 12 April, Queen Mary University on 13 April and ending at Poplar Union on 14 April.

About this Event

Prominent Bengali community activist of East End, Syeda Sultana Sikha is celebrating this traditional and colourful festival on Bengali New Year with a group of progressive friends.

Noboborsho Udjapon Porishod in partnership with RadhaRaman Society present this celebration of colourful rituals, dazzling dance, traditional Bangla music and poetry.

Curated by the poet and the director of Saudha, T M Ahmed Kaysher, the celebration renders performances from prominent musicians, singers, dancers, well-known poets and elocutionists.

The session at the Pinter Studio of Queen Mary University features new genre of Bengali ancient traditional music e.g. musical fight between two versifiers alongside a mesmerising and critically acclaimed live musical presentation of a popular Bangla Pala Gaan (Bengali opera/ Folk Ballad) Madhumala & Madankumar in a stunning theatrical setting.
