Event description

Description

The Diocese of Chester and Chester Cathedral are delighted to invite you to a service with one simple aim: to celebrate the abilities of all people. Organised by the diocesan Disability Forum, the service is designed to be as accessible and inclusive as possible.

The service will showcase the different creative treatments that parishes can employ to make all people feel welcome. This includes sensory prayer stations, large print and Braille service sheets, a signing choir, hearing loops, and guaranteed wheelchair access.

Reverend Zoe Heming, Enabling Church Adviser in the Diocese of Lichfield will be the speaker.

Everyone is welcome to attend the service, but booking is essential to be able to offer the very best welcome to all.

To cater for all abilities, on the day there will be:

A BSL signer;
Hearing loop;
Signing choir;
Large print and Braille service sheets;
Sensory prayer stations; and
Wheelchair access.

For those who require access to disabled toilets, in addition to those at Chester Cathedral attendees can also use the facilities at the Storyhouse which is just across the street.
