ABOUT CRAWFORD MACK
Crawford Mack’s journey to his new record 'Bread & Circuses' was long but necessary. After moving from Glasgow to London to study at The Guildhall School, The jazz trained singer, guitarist and lyricist, strives to create a music that, in his words, finds ‘the sweet spot between Led Zeppelin and Joni Mitchell’.
Mack has supported artists such as Tom Walker, Damien Dempsey and The Paper Kites, and played gigs at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, Islington Assembly Hall, SWG3, O2 Academy Liverpool and The Bedford. Further afield. in Germany, NYC & Philadelphia and Mexico.
His releases for 2020 have delivered the vulnerable, yet defiant rock anthem of ‘Firing Squad’, the prog inflections of ‘The Story Is No Longer Available’ and the beguiling, string-led ‘Depends On Where You Stand’. The complexity of Mack’s work continues to find friends and supporters in areas as diverse as 6 Music, The Scotsman, Sofar Sounds, God Is In The TV, XS Noize and The Sun.
