Description

The Rights Practice invites you to a special screening of multi-award winning documentary Hooligan Sparrow to celebrate 15 years of advancing human rights in China.

Help us celebrate our birthday by joining us for the viewing of director Nanfu Wang's Hooligan Sparrow which profiles the incredible activism of women’s rights advocate, Ye Haiyan (aka Hooligan Sparrow), and human rights lawyer Wang Yu, someone The Rights Practice has had the privilege of working with.

A panel discussion will follow led by Carrie Gracie, BBC China Editor, featuring experts in human rights law, women's rights in China and Chinese documentary films. The evening will finish with a reception.

The screening, panel and reception take place on Thursday 6 April from 6-9pm at The Foundry: A Place for Change, 17 Oval Way, London SE11 5RR (near Vauxhall and Oval tube stations).
