Event description

Description

Join Fr. Tony Flannery, priest and author, for a discussion of one of the most critical issues facing the Catholic Church today: the crisis of vocations, and the related question of compulsory celibacy and the loneliness epidemic among priests.
Tony Flannery is a leading light of the Catholic reform movement. In 2012 he was disciplined by the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) for his views, suspended from ministry, and banned from speaking in public. Fr. Flannery has continued to air his views in defiance of the Vatican ban, and will continue to do so with this talk at the University of Edinburgh.
