Event description

Description

As part of the SIMCelt project we are exploring trends and scenarios of future spatial demand in different maritime sectors - offshore wind energy, aquaculture, ports and shipping, wave and tidal energy and marine conservation. This workshop will bring together representatives from these sectors to explore possible scenarios in the Celtic Seas in the medium term.

The aim of the workshop is to understand how trends and drivers in maritime sectors will influence spatial demands in the future in relation to a range of possible scenarios. Participants will work collaboratively with representatives from various sectors to exchange ideas on how their sectors may interact in future. Findings from the workshop will be used as part fo the final SIMCelt project outputs which will be used to help EU member states to implement the Maritime Spatial Planning Directive.
