Central and North West London Maths Hub: Partnerships for Personal Finance...
This is the 4th of 7 network sessions being offered to those teaching Maths to learners with SEND, funded by the Central and North West London Maths Hub. It will be delivered in partnership with the Personal Finance Education Group which is part of Young Enterprise. The session will explore approaches to personal finance education, for learners attaining significantly below age expectations in Mathematics. It will look at approaches to assessment-without-levels, including using the Engagement Profile to develop financial capability, and setting individualised learning outcomes connected to Preparing for Adulthood outcomes and EHCPs. The session will also look at how schools can apply for funding to be a Personal Finance Education Centre of Excellence, and access networks and partnerships to enhance personal finance learning for their children and young people.
Although this event is FREE, attendees will need to have paid the annual subscription fee for the SEND Social Enterprise and Personal Finance Network, which is £50. This fee covers access to free resources, email updates and additional events throughout the year. Attendees will be invoiced following their participation in the event.
