Tue 31 January 2017, 10:00 – 15:00 GMT
As part of a funded programme for those teaching Mathematics to learners with SEND, we are offering a series a FREE Social Enterprise Start-Up workshops for Special Schools. These will focus on strategies for enabling young people with SEND to engage in meaningful economic interaction with their community, and building effective and sustainable social enterprises which generate income.
The workshop will be in two parts: a full day session looking at the conditions for effective school-based social enterprise, followed by a half-day session two months later, where attends can reflect on what they have tried out in their schools. This session is being delivered in partnership between Swiss Cottage School and the Real Ideas Organisation: a leading educational organisation with experience of developing award-winning social enterprises with schools.
Although this event is FREE, attendees will need to have paid the annual subscription fee for the SEND Social Enterprise and Personal Finance Network, which is £50. This fee covers access to free resources, email updates and additional events throughout the year. Attendees will be invoiced following their participation in the event
